As I put in another posting, I've been fishing with Capt. Marty a few times. Not as many as dad, but a few. We always have a blast. From what I gather in talking to him, he's sort of a jack of all trades and has been on the water his whole life. Most of that time was spent fishing. He told us that he took up Scuba diving as a means to educate himself about the habits of the fish he targets, going out onto wrecks where a charter boat had lines in the water and watching how the fish approached and took the bait.
